Congratulations to our Visual & Performing Artists
Upper School students Isabella G. and Alex (Amber) B. were accepted into the highly competitive Ryman Arts Program at the Otis College of Art & Design for the Spring semester! The prestigious arts program was founded in honor of artist Herbert D. Ryman who created the first overall illustration of Disneyland. The intensive, weekend-based program is meant to create access and opportunity for the next generation of artists.
Saint Monica Preparatory is well represented in this year’s Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Freshman Isabella G. won the Silver Key Award for her poem "Fireflies Dance," while senior Isabella P. won the Silver Key Award for her piece, “Wearing a Mask.” Senior Nayani L. received Honorable Mention for her Visual Art Portfolio. Congratulations all!
The SMPREP choir sang for thousands of high school attendees at Youth Day in Anaheim this week, part of Religious Education Congress. RECongress is the largest annual gathering of its kind, a four day event featuring keynotes, workshops, exhibits and liturgies on the theme of “Embrace Grace.”

Saint Monica Preparatory welcomed its first Japanese exchange students from Koyasan High School in Mount Koya, considered one of the most sacred places in Japan as the birthplace of Shingon Buddhism.
