Kyle Williams: From Saint Monica to the NFL Draft

UPDATE: We're proud to share that Saint Monica alum Kyle Williams ‘20 was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round (overall pick number 69) in the National Football League Draft!

Next April during the National Football League Draft, our eyes will be on Saint Monica alum and Washington State University wide receiver Kyle Williams ‘20. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Williams honed his football skills here at Saint Monica, leading to a standout prep career. During his senior season, he played a key role in helping the Mariners achieve a 7-2 record, catching 31 passes for 763 yards and nine touchdowns - an incredible 24.6 average yards per catch.

Williams has proven to be a remarkable force to be reckoned with at Washington State University (WSU). In 2024, he helped the Cougars to an 8-5 record, recording 70 catches for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns. His ability to stretch the field and make plays in critical moments was pivotal to the Cougars' success. He averaged an impressive 17.1 yards per catch and had five 100-yard games, showcasing consistency and big-play ability.

Williams’ success at WSU placed him in the program's record books, ranking second in single-season receiving touchdowns and fourth in receiving yards. One of his most memorable moments came in the 2024 Holiday Bowl, where he broke the record for receiving yards with 172 yards on 10 catches, including a 66-yard touchdown. As he continues to make waves in college football, his future in the professional ranks looks bright with scouts closely following his every move. Read more on NFL.com.

WSU quarterback Zevi Eckhaus summed up Williams’ impact on the team perfectly: "Kyle Williams is one of the most dedicated and hardest workers I’ve had the opportunity to play with. I think that his loyalty to stick it out for the bowl game and then go on to have the performance that he had will forever cement himself as one of the greatest players to put on a Washington State jersey. I’m very excited to see him thrive at the next level in the coming months and for years to come!"
