SMPREP Golf Coach Featured in Golf Digest Magazine
Upper School Boys and Girls Golf Coach Chip Womack was featured in a summer article in Golf Digest about diversity in the PGA. Highlighting the fact that fewer than one percent of PGA of America’s nearly 29,000 members are African American, the article showcased our own Coach Womack as he strives to help increase that number by getting his PGA certification. In addition to his role at Saint Monica Preparatory, Womack has been teaching golf for more than a decade at Maggie Hathaway in Los Angeles and Los Amigos Golf Course in Downey. Saint Monica Preparatory welcomed its first Japanese exchange students from Koyasan High School in Mount Koya, considered one of the most sacred places in Japan as the birthplace of Shingon Buddhism.
